The Hempstead Active Retirement Association (HempstARA) was formed in 2013 for residents living in the Hempstead area over the age of 50, who are either retired or semi-retired.

HempstARA is a non-profit making organisation whose objectives are to arrange and promote activities which will contribute to the mental and physical wellbeing of it's members, with the aim of ensuring a full and active retirement for members of our community for many years to come.

​

HempstARA has regular monthly meetings where a speaker or entertainer enlivens the afternoon.  In addition, we organise many exciting events and activities to keep us all feeling young and carefree.

​

We are affiliated to 8he Kent Active Retirement Association (KentARA), a county-wide, non-profit making association of 85 branches with in excess of  18,000 members.  Our members are also welcome to take part in the many additional activities organised by KentARA.

​

Currently our full membership annual fee is £20 per person, including  all meeting attendances and £2 per meeting for non-members, which includes tea/coffee and biscuits.
